The three essentials of happiness are: something to do, someone to love, and something to hope for.

xx Sharing a communication.
« Thread started on: Feb 1st, 2011, 10:52am »

I received this from someone I had met, we both felt we knew each other before, and after talking we knew that had been impossible, but how come we felt this closeness? This is the explanation I received.

In a life lived long enough there are strange symmetries that we recognize only later, if we recognize them at all - moments when an experience or a perception has a parallel moment in another time, a balancing echo year in the future or perhaps years in the past, a moment when it feels as if a circle is closing encompassing and completing something infinitely precious.

Often this circle begins or ends, with a slight disturbance in the world of the senses = a sound, a smell, a glimpse of something, an inkling vibrating just below the level of conscious thought. The turning world hesitates imperceptibly and everything is changed. These are moments that do not lend themselves to rational thought, they are entirely sensual.

I don't know where it comes from or even if it is original writing, but I can appreciate this explanation of events I have had in my life.

Anyone else relate to this?

That is so lovely. I am also fortunate to have felt this. It is as though you've known the person forever, when in fact you have not. Strange! But what a beautiful explanation.

Some things don't change! Terri, you always have such an upbeat outlook and so many wonderful things to share. Thank you for that.

Thank you Ms Joey, life is too short to not look for the light and the yellow brick road.

I have had too many miserable events in my life to dwell on them, not to say I don't cry at times, crying relieves the stress and helps the acceptance.
