Thanks for the replys. It all makes sense...the problem is....without the M.O.M. I dont go and I have tried EVERYTHING prescription and non-prescription. It does not WORK!!! I have been scoped and the doc says I have a remarkable colon. I have been constipated for over 20 years. I use to take Perdium. But that started to hurt my colon. (The little granules its made out of). My gastreonologist tried to put me on Miralax...no help on that...did not work!!!! He then tried Lactulose!! Talk about body fatigue and PAIN!!!! It has lactose in it and nearly killed me!!!! It did not work either anyway. embarassed

The other thing is without my Lorcet I can not function.. basicalkly walk!!! cry cry cry The wreck caused permanent painful damage and because nothing else works for that either and my reactions to all stuff.....its the best acting thing for me. The Protonix well I can try to wean myself off of that. Life bites and it has bit me HARD!!!!

I will try the Holistic doctor and get that book. Thanks so much for all your help and I will keep you all posted. Lots of Love!!!! Pammy

Pammy

Don't push yourself too much. Just keep in mind that to be most succesful--we need to continually seek a better way--but--one that really works for us.

It would be hazardous to your health--just to stop something--without another treatment option that you know will work.

My main goal--is to push--others to continue seeking a better way. If we don't seek--we can't grow & improve our quality of life.

cry Thank you for all your replys!!!!! I will definitely get that book and start on the Glutamine!!!! But in all defense...I would like to explain my delimma...I have been constipated for over 20 years. Have tried EVERYTHING and had my colon scoped last year. Doc. said I had a remarkable colon. Thats the good news.

The bad is the Miralax and Lactulose he gave me for my constipation did not work and the Lactulose made me real sick due to the Lactose in it and he did not believe me anyway. He said I was full of it becuase he never heard of Lactulose making people sick ( toxic body pain and fatigue) in all his years of practice. That hurt my feelings alot. I will find a new doc next time I get scoped!! Oh well.

So I found M.O.M. and it works!! This horrid fatigue and pain started way before any Protonix and Lorcet. Before those 2 meds I only took Perdium w/ Senna for my constipation. I will try the Holistic doctor. I think we are on to something here. Also...without the Lorcet I would not be albe to walk. I have tried everything else and it does not make the pain go away. See I was in a near fatal car wreck that broke and tore up my right foot, ankles, knee, and wrist...left wrist and busted my bladder. I had 13 bolts and screws in my leg and arm and 3 plates in my leg and ankles for 3 years.

So after I had all the hardware removed the walking pain is un-bearable. Everything else I tried I reacted to it and it did not make it bearable to walk. So there is my delimma. The Lorcet works....so i'm stuck on that dept.

Thanks a bunch for your replys and I really do stay away from all the flour and sugars. Lots of Love...Pammy grin

Pammy

One more thing--I feel confident that will help--but will hurt at first too--is ART.
Your condition--from the accident is the area it works best on. They are very carefull to first analyse to be sure no harm would come to you.

Let me go grab that link. It really works & for me was/is pure heaven. I actually find it very rewarding--not painful for long at all. The pain for me was only seconds in length.

Babybear, having read your recent posts, IMHO, I wouldn't start any new supplements or change any med (especially your pain med) til you see the holistic doc. They will have a better picture of you than we do. And with your reactions, it would upset the balance that you have achieved at this point. If you are in pain, then you move less and that sets you up for much more problems. Seek a doc that can help.

It also doesn't surprise me that the doc who scoped you would deny that lactulose would cause a reaction. I have had allergist tell me that my son should be able to consume corn products if they are processed to remove the corn proteins. ie: corn syrup. It's the most offending corn product for reactions! They are wrong. They just don't have a clue.

Hope you are able to find a good doc to help you soon.

Karen

Hi Pammy grin
Since I developed severe CFS and FM, I have suffered from severe food and chemical allergies. My doctor put me on a strict four day food allergy diet after being tested and diagnosed with leaky gut from Great Smokies Lab. I was allergic to about 80 percent of what I was eating because I was eating my favorite foods daily. I had to change my diet completely and I also went high protein and low carbs and that improved my energy level. My doctor gave me a copy of Dr. Braly's book which came with the test and told me to test a single food at a time and I kept a food allergy journal to record my different food reactions. I still have many allergies and sensitivies but the more I stick to my non-allergic diet, the better I feel. Best of luck to you!

Hi Babybear,

It sounds like you are having all of the digestive problems I am having. Well, most anyway since each of us is different.

I had a gastric emptying test done, and it showed that my food does not digest. And because of this, my stomach has pain in upper abdoman. I didn't get in to a car accident, so I cannot say for sure that you got this problem from that. I have to take medications to help with this. I take Reglan and eythromicin four times daily. Even with that, I still feel uncomfortable inside. I hardly eat at all because of this. I don't want to be in so much bad pain/pressure. I had my gallbladder out last year hoping that would help, but it didn't. It sounds to me like you may have Gastroparesis and need to see a motility specialist. I am going to see one in December. I was so desparate, I asked my doctor if I could get a stomcach transplant! He just looked at me funny and said "People die from those." So, forget that idea!

I haven't tested for leaky gut syndrome yet, because I'm not really sure where to get this test done. I read about Smokey Mountain Labs, but I would like to have this test done by my doctor.

I would suggest (as it has been suggested to me) to eat very little tiny bits of food, and soft things. Which mashed potatoes used to be my favorite, until I found out by reading on the board that it is a culprit.

Good luck with your tummy problem. I also am suffering with it, so I can't really give any good advice. But the medicines I take to help make the stomach muscles move so the food eventually does go down.

Best wishes,
Angel

Angel

Welcome to you!!

Gastroparesis is primarily a diabetic thing--as I understand it.

This is not a real common condition.

Diet is still the most important issue in it as well. Best of luck to you!
