My back injury happened this past Nov. I only saw workers comp doctor from time of injury to Jan. then went to a Rhumey after workers comp said my pain was all from arthritis. I continued with workers comp also for another 3 or so weeks at which time they decided my injury was all healed. I have continued to have pain in my back in the same areas. I know with FMS and arthritis the pains are hard to tell apart and with injury it is even more difficult. But I know I did not hurt like this before Nov. If mri shows the disk problem I will be contacting workers comp or a lawyer. Will keep everyone posted.

Polly,
You need an attorney now. You can appeal the decision of w.c. to deny you treatment. An attorney helps. W.C. docs are not on your side. You need someone to represent you.

Hope things go well with your mri.

Polly I have a great doc too. He listens and actually looks at me when we talk. He is willing to write to my insurance co if they won't pay for something or write letters on my behalf to anyone I need him. Going to try for Disability so he has several years of documantation. MY OTHER docs will back me up.

I think he was God-sent

Got a call from the pain clinic today. I have have to go june 14th and have injections in my back. I think he said Facet Joint injections, like nerve blocks. Said they would be giving me an I.V. to relax me. Kinda of nervouse about this treatment as this is a new one for me. But if it helps the pain in my back will be worth the pain of getting them.

Polly,
Just wanted to say good luck with the shots. I hope they work for you. If it's a nerve block I would think they should do the trick, but what do I know? I'm not a doc!!! grin

Let us know how you feel afterwards cause I'm sure with my memory I won't remember to ask after the 14th of June! wink
